ADR Chambers offers a confidential and impartial service to assist employers in evaluating employee requests for accommodations related to return-to-work policies and other protected grounds under human rights legislation.
Employees may seek exemptions or modifications to workplace policies due to various reasons, including medical conditions, caregiving responsibilities, religious beliefs, or other protected grounds. ADR Chambers facilitates a structured process where such requests are assessed by experienced neutral adjudicators (“Evaluators”) with expertise in human rights matters.
The process involves the employee submitting their request in writing, and optionally, participating in a virtual meeting via Zoom. The employer does not participate in this stage, ensuring the confidentiality of the employee’s disclosure. Following the evaluation, the Evaluator provides a recommendation to both the employer and the employee, with detailed reasons shared with the employee.
This program is adaptable to meet the specific needs of each organization, promoting fair and consistent handling of accommodation requests.
