ADR Chambers now offers a new service to help companies that have vaccination policies to independently assess requests for exemptions on human rights grounds.
Many companies now have policies that require employees to be vaccinated. Some employees are challenging the application of the policy to them on the grounds that the policy infringes their rights under a human rights code. ADR Chambers offers a program to take in requests for an exemption from the policy.
ADR Chambers receives requests from employees, and its expert adjudicators (the “Evaluators”) assess the employee requests and make recommendations to the employer. The Evaluators are experienced neutrals with a background and expertise in human rights claims.
An employee presents his or her arguments to the Evaluator in writing, and if the employee wants, by ZOOM. The employer is not involved in the presentation to the Evaluator and the content of the request is kept confidential and not disclosed to the employer. The Evaluator then makes a recommendation to the employer and employee, and provides reasons for the recommendation to the employe only.
The program can be tailored to meet the needs of the employer.
