Helen is a mediator with ADR Chambers.
Helen has been a full-time mediator since 2002 and has mediated a wide range of disputes including personal injury, insurance, commercial and property.
Helen graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1990 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1992. She obtained her Master of Laws degree specializing in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1999. As part of her LL.M., she worked at the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations focusing on needs assessment, analysis and design of dispute resolution systems. Helen has also completed the Intensive Mediation Certificate from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (1998).
Helen was Assistant Vice-President of the organization that launched the first online dispute resolution company in Canada, mediating insurance settlements between plaintiff counsel and insurance companies. She was also the Assistant Manager at one of the top Canadian banks in the areas of institutional risk management and client policy.
From 2005 to 2014, Helen was an appointed Roster Mediator with the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program in Toronto.
Helen is a Member of The Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and an Affiliate Member of The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
