Jeffrey Freedlander

Jeff is a mediator with ADR Chambers.

Jeff is an insurance neutral with experience in personal injury, general liability, property and casualty and professional liability cases, including disputes relating to health professionals. He has significant experience in insurance matters relating to policy interpretation and coverage, and in the medical sector handling standards of practice, competence and patient safety issues for physicians involving regulatory concerns, government matters and hospitals.

Prior to becoming a full time mediator, Jeff had a legal career spanning over 40 years. He spent the last 17 years with McCarthy Tétrault as counsel to physicians on behalf of the Canadian Medical Protective Association.

Jeff earned his LL.B. from the University of Windsor Law School and his Pharmacy degree (B.Sc. Phm.) from the University of Toronto.  He was called to the Bar in 1978.  Jeff is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society and the Medico-Legal Society. He has been the representative of the Faculty of Pharmacy on the University of Toronto Non-Academic Discipline Tribunal.
