Jeffrey is an arbitrator, mediator and investigator with ADR Chambers.
Jeffrey brings over 25 years of alternative dispute resolution experience, with extensive experience in insurance disputes including accident benefits (Insurance Act and SABS), personal injury, property and casualty, and life and disability.
Jeffrey recently completed eight years as a full-time tribunal adjudicator, including serving from 2017 to 2022 as a Vice-Chair at Ontario’s License Appeal Tribunal. He has presided at catastrophic impairment determinations, developed best-practices protocols, and was the lead author of Tribunal Ontario’s Adjudicator Videoconference Handbook. He was also a part-time Vice-Chair for the Human Rights Tribunal Ontario.
Jeffrey began his legal career in the US, practicing law for 18+ years including representing both claimants and defendants. He handled personal injury, workers’ compensation, consumer banking, employment, commercial, family, estate and wills, and landlord/tenant matters. Jeffrey began arbitrating cases in 1994, serving as a court appointed arbitrator panelist for mandatory arbitration programs with Common Pleas Courts in Philadelphia and Cleveland. Jeffrey has also mediated civil litigation cases for Cleveland’s Court of Common Pleas, and volunteered as a part-time mediator at a social services agency in Ohio.
Jeffrey earned his J.D. at the Temple University (Philadelphia), LL.M. (Masters in Taxation) at the Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland), and Canadian LL.M. equivalency certification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. He earned an Advanced Certificate in Adjudication from the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators (SOAR). Jeffrey is a member of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Bars, the Law Society of Ontario, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association and SOAR.
