ADR Chambers administers an arbitration program for the Mutual Fund Dealers’ Association (“MFDA”). Where a mutual fund company has a complaint against a dealer about the dealer’s conduct in handling mutual funds for clients, the company may bring its complaint to ADR Chambers. ADR Chambers then schedules an arbitration hearing with one of the panel members who has been appointed by the MFDA to arbitrate these disputes. The arbitrator, together with two industry experts, conducts a hearing and issues a binding decision, with reasons. ADR Chambers has been providing arbitration services to the MFDA since 2003.
